[2:40] - “We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe atomically.” ― Neil DeGrasse Tyson

Welcome to episode 36 of the Boom Vision podcast! Folks, I feel inspired as I share today's interview with Tian Mu.  I met Tian last year through our mutual friend Roberta Kung.  From that first Zoom call, energetically I just felt this familiar connection where I knew we're going to be good friends. I was so grateful for Roberta connecting us.  The more we hung out, the more I realized he's my soul brother.

As a brief background: Tian Mu spent the first two decades of his career as a tech entrepreneur- from gaming to ecommerce to crypto investments. In 2009, Tian had his spiritual awakening and began focusing on self-realization while running his game studio. Tian’s main purpose this lifetime is to assist the awakening of the mass consciousness and help usher Humanity into its next Golden Age.

So without further ado, here's Tian:

[4:15] - Tian's origin story.

  • (TM) April 17, 2002, started his game studio, Naked Sky Studios.
  • 2009: Tian had his spiritual awakening.
  • [8:53] 2017: Had a vision came through Tian to start a men's shoe company (Brethren Shoes), to help solve the homeless issue in US. Every pair of shoes they sell, they donate a pair of shoes.
  • 2021: Exited from crypto funds
  • 2021: Group mentoring program with various cohorts

[12:22] - (BY) What's your favorite video game of all time? Which game was the most meaningful to you?

(TM) Doom. That's what got me into wanting to make a game.

[14:16] - (TM) "Anyone and everyone in this world is within reach."

[15:56] - (BY) In 2009, you mentioned that somewhere midway, something awakened in you. What triggered that awakening and what shifted?

(TM) It was simply my time. The universe placed certain people and questions in me. What was the root cause of pain? That was what I wanted answered.

[19:29] - (TM) "The root cause of pain is when you desire for the things that don't belong to you."

Learning the meaning of: Going with the flow.

[21:32] (TM) It's never that object that's the end, but the journey itself. Journey of self discovery, of learning, of growth.

[23:06] (BY) Quote comes into mind as you share that experience: "With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world." - The Dalai Lama.

Does this quote resonate with you, and if so, how did you build that muscle of self confidence in your early entrepreneurial journey?

[26:19] - (BY) As I shared with you before, the 3 words that came to me as a download when I was preparing for this interview: 3 C's: Confidence, Communication, and Compassion.

[27:59] - (BY) What can you share in helping them to strengthen that muscle of Self-Confidence?

(TM) First know thyself. First accept yourself, love yourself, accept things you don't like about yourself.

Sovereignty is a big thing. Learn when to say no, where to draw boundaries.

Self Mastery Mentorship

[30:21] (BY) Can you describe one or two actions someone can take to build that sovereignty?

(TM) What I can share is, it's always coming from a place of fear. When you say yes even when you say no.

[32:58] - (BY) Having the grace and space to understand that: No is also a positive action that you can take.

(TM) What else I learned since my awakening, was that patience and waiting, these are not passive things at all.

It takes a lot of energy to be patience and waiting.

Let the Universe do it's job!

[35:14] - (BY) I want to touch on a word you used earlier: Higher Self. How would you describe it to someone that might be one step behind in their spiritual journey?

(TM) Higher Self: It's your over-soul. It's this wise, infinite part of you.

Your over-soul, it's so enormous that it can break itself into different time and space. Each piece is connected to your over-soul.

(BY) Reminds me of this movie of "Everything Everywhere, All At Once."

From entrepreneurship to mentorship, can you share a little bit of where they felt stuck? What is another roadblock you've seen?

(TM) Lack of self-confidence. Self-doubt can replaced your own intuitive powers.

[40:56] - (TM) Voice of your Ego versus voice of your heart. How to distinguish the two.

Your Intuition is always quiet. It's not getting your attention, this voice does not have any attachment.

Voice of your heart is very soft.

[48:14] - (BY) When you think about building muscle, it's when you work out, and you're pushing your limits where you actually tear muscle fibers. (micro-tears) What advice can you share of how they can begin to get into that habit of getting outside your comfort zone?

(TM) When I formed my company, I put together a stellar advisory board. Every time an advisor tells me something that will move the company forward, I would get this feeling in my stomach, this knot, I knew it will help move the company forward. When you feel that uncomfortable, say yes!

[53:50] - (BY) What book would you recommend that had a big impact?

(TM) So many!

[59:17] - (BY) Time Machine: What is one thing you would tell yourself if you had an ability to travel back 15 years ago before your spiritual awakening, what would you share with your younger self?

(TM) Be more humble. I was not very humble in my younger years.

You don't know what you don't know. And that's the rest of the universe.

[1:01:16] - (BY) Where can our listeners find you?

Tian's information:

[1:03:21] - Final Takeaway: Folks, that was such an enriching conversation! There are so many seeds of wisdom that Tian dropped today.  I really feel today's interview is best summarized by the Dalai Lama quote I shared earlier, and that is:

"With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world."  ― The Dalai Lama

Through your self-confidence, reclaim your power and sovereignty so that you can communicate your inner truth, your authentic truth, and through self-compassion and love, you can achieve self mastery in creating a fulfilling life.

*If you feel compelled to reach out to Tian, he did want me to mention that on LinkedIn, if you do reach out, make sure you say you heard him on this Boom Vision podcast so he knows where the connection is coming from.
