Welcome to episode 32 of the Boom Vision podcast! Folks, I'm thrilled to share today's interview with Zack Swire.  I met Zack over the summer through our mutual friend, Dan Bennett, who you might remember was a guest on Boom Vision in Episode 18.

As a brief background: Zack Swire is a Business Coach and lifelong visionary entrepreneur. Zack has founded and built five companies from the ground up — an award winning strategic ad agency, a social good tech company, a coworking space, an e-comm cereal brand, and now a business coach company and community. Zack loves supporting various community, non-profit, and social impact organizations. Married to his wife Gwen of 20 years, they put their faith and family first. From tennis matches to show choir competitions and musicals, they love being involved in the lives of their 15-year-old triplets.  Zack launched Top Teams and his Top Coach Community in 2020, with the purpose of helping companies and coaches change for good — creating stronger companies, happier employees, and healthier communities. By expanding their Circle of Impact, they leave a positive stamp on the world around us!

So without further ado, here's Zack:

(ZS) Having a clear vision and knowing there is a purpose in the work we do.

Family exercise: Journal on writing yearly goals and vision with kids.

Happy and healthy family, family and people and team that are doing great work that are positively impacting people in the world.

When we enhance our circle of impact where it leaves a legacy behind us, that would be true success to me.

[42:19] - (BY) What's the biggest misconception of Entrepreneurship that people often think is true?

(ZS) Not everyone is cut out for entrepreneurship, and it's ok.

Personal Story: Pitching startup idea to Roelof Botha (Sequoia Capital)

(BY) You learn or you earn.

[49:14] - (BY) What tends to be the most recurring roadblock that you encounter with your clients as a Business Coach that your clients seek your advice?

(ZS) A lot of it is fear of change.

(BY) In a similar vein, I share 2 things:

  1. FEAR: False Evidence Appearing Real
  2. Opportunity Benefit (Episode 17)

[54:56] - (BY) At your current stage of your life, do you feel having a strong balance of mind, body and soul is key to building sustainable success? If so, what do you do to create and maintain that balance in your life?

[42:43] - (BY) Advice: Thriving - For my listeners that are entrepreneurs or career professionals that are hungry to start thriving in their life, what advice can you share to help them?

[1:00:09] - (BY) Any book recommendations?

[1:04:19] - (BY) If the DeLorean was real in that you can travel back in time, what is one thing you would tell yourself if you had an ability to travel back 10 years ago and share with your younger self?

(ZS) Don't worry, have more fun in the process.

Say no a little bit more. It's ok to say no.

[1:07:12] - (BY) Where can our listeners find you?

Zack's information:

[1:10:43] - Folks, what an interview. The main takeaway that I got from today's interview reminds me of a Henry Ford quote, and that is: "If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself." - Henry Ford

Folks, I resonate what Zack shared about how he defines success. Happy and healthy family, it's family, people and team that are doing great work that are positively impacting people in the world. When we enhance our circle of impact where it leaves a legacy behind us, that would be true success to me. Success is using our gifts wisely and impact people in a positive way.

If there's 3 words that I feel Zack embodies as the captain of his entrepreneurial ship, it's faith, hope and love.
